Brazil–China cooperation
IECBC connects Beijing Green and Green Rio through sustainable development cooperation

IECBC helped formalise institutional cooperation between Beijing Green Development Forum and Green Rio, bringing together Brazilian and Chinese sustainable development agendas.
Formalised on 18 June 2026, the cooperation gives IECBC an institutional coordination role, supporting dialogue between the platforms and connections among companies, institutions and experts from both countries.
At the forum’s promotional meeting in Brazil, IECBC president Cláudia Jannuzzi highlighted the importance of combining economic development with environmental protection, connecting Brazilian opportunities with Chinese technology and innovation.

On bioeconomy and forest protection, she highlighted scientific research, satellite monitoring, traceable supply chains and artificial intelligence applications in managing natural disaster risks.
Her speech also addressed green finance as a way to support low-carbon projects and the blue economy. Cláudia stressed that ecological transition should create jobs, be inclusive and respect both countries’ circumstances, supported by technology sharing and continuous dialogue.
